Historical enhancement and indoor comfort
The Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Idro was built in the 16th century and later remodelled and decorated between the 17th and 18th centuries. The single-nave building, with side chapels and a raised presbytery, preserves important works of art, including altarpieces, frescoes in the presbytery and apse, the 19th-century organ by the Tonoli firm, and paintings dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel.
As with other historic places of worship, the intervention aimed to ensure indoor comfort while safeguarding artworks and historical surfaces, avoiding the use of outdated and potentially harmful hot-air heating systems.
For this reason, the MORE FTA system with raised platform was installed: a radiant climate control solution featuring low build-up height, low thermal inertia and high efficiency, specifically designed to protect historic flooring. The platform allows for a non-invasive installation, providing high thermal insulation, mechanical strength and rapid installation, while ensuring indoor comfort even with intermittent use of the church.
